Chocolate Ancestor, LLC is an online modern Afrocentric apparel, accessories, and home decor store catered to consumers in the black community. The company’s mission is to promote through beautifully crafted products love and peace, and use the products to educate, express, and enunciate the importance of humanity, community, and spirituality. The diverse line of clothes and accessories make expression much easier, giving people a chance to endorse the positive things they practice and believe in daily.
Products include apparel (shirts, hoodies, crop tops, joggers, socks), accessories (bookbags, handbags, tote bags, laptop bags/sleeves, hats), home decor (office supplies, pillows, blankets, shower curtains, rugs, umbrellas, placemats, mugs), and specially made gifts. There is something for everyone, and customers appreciate the originality that each piece holds.
Owner, Latoya Brown, was instantly moved to create a business with meaning after attending a NAACP rally, following the heartbreaking deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. The signs created simply were not enough. She left the event full of ideas and hope to bring forth more unity and happiness to people of all backgrounds. The light that was sparked in her led to an undeniable flame of hope that Chocolate Ancestor, LLC illuminates. “I feel that it is extremely important to have black owned businesses that have black customers in mind. I want customers to feel proud of our products, whether they are wearing them or have them on display throughout their home," shared the passionate founder.

The Divah's Take Over The ATL Summer Edition- ~On a mission to conqueror~

ATLANTA, GA - The Divah Filez and True Essence would like to invite you to celebrate our Official Release Party for the True Essence Commercial set to air during the Love and Hip-Hop Atl reunion and The BET Awards. The release party will take place on June 18, 2017 at The Whiskey Peach located at 84 12th St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309 in Midtown ATL. This party will also include the Cancer Birthday celebration of the creator and founder of The Divah Filez; Jazmyne Courtnii Byrd.
In 2014 we revolutionized HBCU culture and introduced a new way to gain on the job experience through an internship created and made by students. In November 2016, we brought The Divah Filez to the mobile application world and incorporated advertising for Black Owned Businesses through our section entitled “Empowered Melanin” and on January 27, 2017 “Divah Enterprises” was be born to serve as the umbrella for the of our services.
